Although I did not know her well, I had the privilege of sharing the stage with Ahdaiyah and the New Jerusalem Fire Choir several times during my years in Israel.

Ahk Ahmeshadye came from humble roots, had a way with words, fought for what he believed in and, after getting knocked down, always picked himself back up.

She was my emah, I was her bain, we loved each other, and it was as simple as that.

He had his detractors, as all leaders do. But I believe that he genuinely loved his people, and he loved being loved by them.
